About mrs. voss
I am a native of Stokes County and attended Stokes County schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. I went to Appalachian State University and earned a degree to teach high school English. I taught high school English at South Stokes for two years (2005-2007) but had a desire to work with exceptional children. I moved to the elementary level to work with exceptional children and then gained certification to teach exceptional children at any level, kindergarten to 12th grade. I taught at Piney Grove Middle School for a year before transferring to South Stokes High School. I have been at South Stokes (again) since 2016.

I am married and my husband is an 8th grade teacher. He teaches social studies at Chestnut Grove Middle School here in Stokes County. We have one daughter, one son and two dogs. In my free time, I love to read. I'm definitely a book worm! On the weekends, I like to hang out with family and friends. I am very family-oriented and have fun being with friends. During the summer and longer periods of free time, I enjoy traveling. I have been fortunate to travel all over the United States and to other countries in the world, but I'm always happy to return home! I am excited about this school year and watching the students learn and grow.
